Job interview in Spanish: what to say when you arrive
Walk in and say who you are and why you are there: “Buenas, vengo por la entrevista” (Hi, I'm here for the interview). Give your name, say which job you applied for, and let them lead. The opening minute is not the hard part of an interview, but it is the part that decides how nervous you feel for the rest of it.

What to know before you go
- In Argentina you will be addressed as «vos», not «tú»: expect «¿vos te postulaste?» rather than «¿tú te postulaste?». You can answer normally — nobody minds which one you use.
- «Buenas» on its own works all day and is warmer than «hola» in a workplace. It is the safest opening you have.
- If you miss something, say «¿me lo repite?» immediately rather than guessing. Asking once early is far better than answering the wrong question.
